Planet Tap
A method of screw machining that uses a special tool called a planet tap, and forms screws through simultaneous three-axis machining on a machining center. The simultaneous three-axis machining involves helical processing, where the X and Y axes move in an arc motion while the Z axis moves by an amount equivalent to the screw pitch.
